So this is my first blog...

Ive decided to start this blog because Ive had quite a few changes lately and I want to keep track of my progress. Hopefully it will help somebody. First I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Micaela also known as Caraber89 on youtube. Im 21 almost 22 and I was a fat kid. I dont want this to be another one of those blogs about "oh, poor me, I was a fat kid and now Im sharing my success story with the world". Everyone is different and I just want to log my days. So... anyway, Im with the love of my life, Chris, we've been together for 5 years in June. Its amazing how far weve come. Im not sure what else to say about myself...
So this year Ive decided Im going to make changes to my life. I know everyone has these resolutions at the begining of the year and after a while they just get thrown away. This year WILL be different for me!

My first change of the year is to quit smoking. I started smoking when I was 14, quit for a year, and started back up. I wasnt a very heavy smoker, unlike Chris, but it seemed like every year I was smoking more and more. And with the prices of smokes going up and up, I just need to quit. I havent had a cig in almost 2 week, itll be 2 weeks Sunday. I have been smoking the "electronic cigarette" and its helping a lot. I know its not compleatly healthy but it is healthier than real cigs. I am feeling a lot better but I have noticed that if Im stressed and I puff on it a lot I do get tired and that is a side effect from these. Hopefully I can compleatly quit smoking all together, no e-cigs or any thing.

My second change of the year is to focus on my health. This goes hand in hand with my quitting smoking. I figured that since I need to kick the habit all together that I should focus on something productive. So for the first few days everytime I wanted a smoke I would make myself get on the tredmill or eliptical. It helped a lot. Now Im using the same system for this e-cig too! But I still keep it on me just in case I cant do something else to get my mind off of it.
Ive also been eating a lot better. Chris and I have both been thinking about our weight and what we eat. Because of that, Ive been buying more healthy choices and making sure I always have fresh fruit around the house. Ive also been looking up healthy recipes and looking at nutritional information. I started logging what I eat, my calorie intake, excercise, and water/vitamin intake online. http://www.everydayhealth.com/food-fitness/calories-in/turkey-chili is the site Im using in case anyone wanted to know. Its been great at keeping me on track!

My third change of the year is to have sex at least once a week. I know for some people thats not hard and for some it is. My labido used to be amazing when Chris and I first got together. But you know what they say about married life lol... I know its not true for everyone but for me it was. Im not sure why but my labido was WAY off and it was upsetting me, not only chris. Because of my messed up labido it did cause tention in the relationship and we did fight a lot. Im not sure what actually changed, it might be a healthy diet and excercise, but Im starting to feel like the old me in the bedroom. Now Im not saying that Im compleatly there... but I am getting there... and its making our relationship so much better! So far this year we havent had a major fight and were telling each other "I love you" more. I feel like were back to the begining of our relationship again and it so nice.

So far this year is great! I just hope that it continues...
